Jail, fines for violators of Umrah regulations

KSA

Riyadh: Citizens and expatriates have been warned against transporting, employing, sheltering or covering up for anyone overstaying Umrah pilgrim.

General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) director-general Brigadier-General Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Saad said that violators would be fined and face jail.

“Violators who are found in breach of Umrah rules and regulations more than once would face tougher penalties”, he said during an Umrah campaign which will run until June 2019.

The seven-month campaign aims at foreigners planning to perform the small Haj with Saudi visa regulations.
