BAHRAIN Rugby Football Club (BRFC) ‘B’ posted a narrow 15-13 victory over Topshots in this week’s action in the 2018/2019 Bahrain Netball League.
The victors shrugged off a slow start to claim their hard-earned result.
They faced a slim 2-3 deficit at the end of the first quarter, but managed to turn things around by the half when they took a narrow 7-6 lead. Things remained close and after the third quarter, the score was deadlocked at 9-all.
BRFC ‘B’ then picked up their game in the final period and managed to outscore Topshots by just two goals, earning them the final score and the tough win.
Maisie Brandreth was the Player of the Match for BRFC ‘B’ and Boomer was the top performer on her side.
In another match this week, BRFC ‘A’ also scored a win against Topshots, 30-9. Goal Defence Isobel Adegboyega and Goal Keep Vikki Hughes-Swick were the top performers for their respective teams.
Defending champions British Club ‘A’ were 26-3 winners against Sri Lanka ‘B’, with Goal Attack Jessica Chapman and her counterpart Sara Rahim being named the best players.
Elsewhere, Secure Services Sri Lanka beat British Club ‘C’ 22-13 and Dilmun Club defeated BRFC ‘C’ 31-13.
