Riyadh – Expatriate workers’ dependents aged over 25 will not have their residence permits renewed, an official from the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) said.
Daughters aged from 18 to 25 years can renew their residence permits on the submission of certificates showing that they are still unmarried.
“Under the Saudi regulations, sons aged 18 to 25 years will not have their residence renewed unless they submit certificates showing that they are pursuing higher studies”, said Jawazat spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Badr Al-Quraini.
However, expatriates urged the Saudi authorities to renew the residence permits of their children who are aged above 25 years and are pursuing university studies, especially in medicine and engineering.
