West Indies opt to bat in first Bangladesh ODI

Dhaka - West Indies captain Rovman Powell won the toss and elected to bat in the first one-day international of a three-match series against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Sunday.

Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal returned for Bangladesh, who made five changes from their last ODI against Zimbabwe in November.

West Indies picked up Darren Bravo for his first ODI since 2016.

Bangladesh: Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Soumya Sarkar, Liton Das, Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah Riyad, Mashrafe Mortaza (Capt), Mehidy Hasan, Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman.

West Indies: Kieran Powell, Shai Hope, Darren Bravo, Marlon Samuels, Shimron Hetmyer, Roston Chase, Rovman Powell (Capt), Devendra Bishoo, Keemo Paul, Kemar Roach, Oshane Thomas.
