The Kingdom of Bahrain is all set to celebrate the National Day and His Majesty’s accession day with a set of sports activities over the coming weekend.
Sixteen national sports federations will be organising 18 events to celebrate this national occasion in co-operation with the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC).
The Fencing Federation will have the National Fencing Day Championship, while similar events will be brought by other national federations, including mixed martial arts, gymnastics, weightlifting, table tennis and sports for people of determination.
The remaining sports activities are to be organised by the following federations – billiards and snooker, mind and e-sports, badminton and squash, swimming, equestrian and endurance, maritime sports, shooting, basketball and motor federation.
Meanwhile, Executive Director of Sports Affairs Abdul Jalil Asad stressed the keenness of the BOC to co-operate with all sports federations in organising these series of sporting events in conjunction with the nation’s celebrations.
He noted the great efforts of the federations to create a variety of sports activities in an attempt to deepen the spirit of loyalty and belonging to the country and its leadership.
