Emirati singer becomes first Arab to perform at the Vatican Christmas concert

Abu Dhabi: Emirati singer Hussain Al Jassmi has become the first Arab artist to perform at the Vatican Christmas concert, which is now in its 26th year.

Al Jassmi, one of the Middle East’s top-selling artists, sang at the Concerto di Natale at the Paul VI Audience Hall in the Vatican City, along with other international artists, Al Bayan reported

The Emirati signer both an Extraordinary UN Goodwill Ambassador and the Ambassador of Creativity and Ambassador for Arab Culture in the UAE.

Al-Jassmi posted a video of his performance, which was widely circulated on social media websites.

He also met Pope Francis, who will pay an official visit to the United Arab Emirates in 2019.
