Razan Suboh won a gold medal for Bahrain by topping the Fifth Challenge of the 100 Cycling Championship held last Friday in Jordan.
More than 200 professional and amateur cyclists from both sexes took part in the 100km race, which is one of the most famous championships in the region.
Aside from the victory, Suboh also broke the race record of 2 hours, 30 minutes and 51 seconds.
Suboh dedicated her achievement to Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs representative, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman, and president of Bahrain Olympic Committee, as well as BOC secretary general Abdulrahman Askar, women’s sport supporter Shaikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, and to Bahrain Cycling Association president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
