Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz International Airport celebrated Bahrain’s 47th National Day.

The northern and southern passenger halls were decorated with Bahraini and Saudi flags, symbolising deep-rooted fraternal relations, reported Sabq.

Airport assistant director general Abdulmohsen Al-Sheikh and other officials representing government authorities were present.

Gifts and flowers were also presented to passengers arriving or departing aboard Gulf Air flights.

A mural was set up at the airport for passengers and officials to write their wishes for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people.

The Riyadh-based King Khalid International Airport also marked Bahrain’s 47th National Day, with flags, flowers and commemorative gifts.

Meanwhile, high-rise buildings in the Saudi capital lit up in colours of Bahrain’s national flag – including Kingdom and Al-Faisaliyah Towers.
