MOHAMMED Kuwayed had twice the reason to celebrate last night on the concluding day of the Bahrain Basketball Association (BBA) All-Star Festival.
The event was held under the patronage of BBA President Shaikh Isa bin Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, who attended the proceedings at Zain Basketball Arena in Um Al Hassam. It took place as part of the BBA’s celebrations of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s National Day and His Majesty King Hamad’s Accession to the Throne.
After captaining the Red Team to an 81-76 victory over the White Team in the All-Star Game, Kuwayed claimed the title in the Three-Point Shootout competition.
The All-Star Game was divided into two halves of 15 minutes apiece with a running game clock. Both teams were casual in their play, often giving up easy baskets to go for the more spectacular shots with the purpose to entertain.
