Kuwait City: Resignation tendered by the Minister of Oil Bakheet Al-Rasheedi, who was facing a grilling motion at the National Assembly, has been accepted by the Cabinet.
National Assembly member MP Khalil Abul said that lawmakers had been informed officially of the decision.
The minister had come under fire from several MPs over alleged squandering of public funds by top oil executives.
Abul, who with two other MPs had vowed to grill the minister, said the grilling motion will be filed against Rasheedi’s successor.
