Riyadh: A group of Saudis has launched a drive on social media urging consumers to shun products which are made in Turkey.
The drive aims at punishing Ankara financially for campaigning against the Kingdom, reported Saudi Gazette.
They have launched social media hashtags (#Saudis_rejecting_the_Turkish_Products and #No_to_Turkey_Travel_and_products) to boycott all Turkish products and tourist destinations.
One user tweeted: “Since our country is being fiercely attacked by Erdogan’s official media and Erdogan’s provocative statements; our national duty urges us to boycott any Turkish product as a response to these repeated offenses.”
Another user wrote: “What if more than 20 million Saudis boycotted the Turkish products and tourism?”
