Abu Dhabi: The UAE Central Bank has today warned the public against dealing with malicious WhatsApp messages, bearing its name and logo, according to Emarat Al Youm.

The bank urged the customers not to reply to such messages or open any attached hyperlink, as it may expose them to hackers and malicious websites.

The Central Bank said that it never uses social media to contact persons or businesses, advising consumers to protect their account information and credit/debit cards from fraud and unauthorised use.
