The competition was held under the patronage of Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, president of Bahrain Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) and vice president of the Supreme Council for the Environment.
Akbar posted a time of 79.72 seconds, although he committed five faults, in the event which included 125-135cm obstacles.
Behind him was Saber Salman (72.11 seconds and nine faults) in second place, while third place went to Muslim Ali (78.23 seconds and 11 faults).
Meanwhile, Mayoof Al Rumaihi won the first cup in the young participants category.
The second cup in the same category was won by Gross Rodney, while Ahmed Al Hasheli emerged victorious in the last competition for youth competitors.
The Championship included an event for the amateurs won by Hani Al Yabis. Dr Eiad Ahmed triumphed in the contest for the senior competitors.
The winners were crowned by Shaikh Khalid bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, president of the Showjumping Committee in BREEF, and his deputy, Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khalifa.
