The Syrian government has reportedly set a list of persons accused of financing terrorism on its territories.
According to the Arabic newspaper Al Qabas, the alleged list includes the names of Kuwaiti personalities, including former National Assembly MPs, one minister and other religious figures.
The Ministry of Foreign Ministry summoned Syrian Embassy chargé d'affaires Ghassan Anjarini in protest of the alleged terror sponsors’ list.
Sources spoke of attempts which are underway to undermined the GCC-Syrian relations, particularly Kuwaiti-Syrian ties.
The sources denied allegations claiming that Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid Al-Jarallah features on the list.
Political circles slammed the allegations and said that targeting Al-Jarallah is tantamount to offending the state of Kuwait and its balanced policies which aim to defuse regional crises.
