THE answer to halting the resumption of Japanese commercial whaling is to stop buying their manufactured goods ‘Backward step’, (GDN, January 2).
If we cease to buy their exports the cost of their imports will rise as a result of fewer shipping containers being available for the home run and an impact will be felt by shipping companies, which are largely Japanese-owned .
