Bahrain national football team continued preparations for Thursday’s second Group ‘A’ match against Thailand at Al Nasr Club Stadium in Dubai.
The team held their training session yesterday at Shabab Ahli Dubai Club under the supervision of coach Miroslav Soukup. Present during the training were Bahrain Football Association vice-president for Technical Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Salman Al Khalifa and other members of the association.
This was the first training session for the national team in Dubai after playing the opener against hosts UAE in Abu Dhabi, where they drew 1-1. The team will have training sessions today and tomorrow at Al Nasr Club Stadium, which is the venue of their match against Thailand.
Coach Soukup had witnessed the match between India and Thailand on Sunday to analyse the teams which will face them in their second and third group matches.
Meanwhile, in a statement, Bahrain Football Association president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa praised the support of Gulf Air to the national team in the Asian Cup. He thanked Gulf Air officials for their support which, he said, would have a huge impact on the team’s success at the biggest football event in the region.
