Bapco will provide an aircraft to take a total of 150 fans to Dubai to support the Bahrain national team in their second Group ‘A’ match against Thailand in the AFC Asian Cup.
This was announced by Bahrain Football Association (BFA) president Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa who said that BFA had reached an agreement with Bapco to provide a private airplane to transfer a total of 150 fans to Dubai for tomorrow’s match at Al Nasr Club Stadium.
Shaikh Ali said that the BFA will form a special team to supervise the registration of fans for the trip. The registration will be made electronically through a link that will start at 10am today.
The BFA president, who is also the head of the Bahrain delegation at the Asian Cup, praised Bapco for the gesture. He thanked Bapco’s board of directors for their support, which will help the fans to back the national team in their next important game against Thailand. He added that the BFA will do everything to support the team in their Asian Cup campaign.
The Bahrain team will hold their final training session today at 5pm ahead of the Thailand clash which kicks off at 4pm tomorrow.
The team had a training session yesterday at Sa’ad Al Mazmar pitch in Dubai, with team coach Miroslav Soukup supervising the training session in the presence of BFA members.
