Kuwaiti City: A Kuwaiti mountaineer made headlines reaching the highest stratovolcano summit in North America at the Pico de Orizaba mountain in Mexico.
Youssef Al-Rifaie became the first Kuwaiti adventurer to reach the peak of the mountain which stands at an altitude of 5,636 meters above the sea level.
Rifaie started climbing in 2015 and was the first Arab to climb the highest stratovolcano summit in Papua New Guinea in Oceania last August, standing at 4,367 meters above sea level.
The climber revealed future plans to continue climbing all seven stratovolcano summits around the world. Skating in the North and South poles are also part of his plans.
