Royal University for Women (RUW) has opened admission through its website for the second semester of academic year 2018/2019.
High school graduates can file their applications through the university website.
“We are providing a quick and easy method for admission to the university, by filling the online application form,” said registrar Sami Mohammed.
“This comes as part of the university’s continuous efforts to develop electronic services to allow international students to easily apply to the university.
“RUW is the first private university that is accredited by the Higher Education Council (HEC) and an accredited and recommended university in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Oman.”
He said the online admissions feature saves time and effort for students who are applying for university, by filling personal data and arranging their interests for academic programmes offered, through the university website (http://www.ruw.edu.bh/apply_now).
Mr Mohammed said applicants must attach copies of the admission requirements to be sent and reviewed by the Admissions and Registration Department and verify that the application has met the admission requirements according to the admission regulations approved by the RUW.
About the achievements of the university, RUW acting president Dr David Stewart said over the past 14 years the university has succeeded in attaining several milestones and displaying excellent performance.
Reviews
The university during that period went for reviews for institutional quality, and of academic programmes.
It has now also achieved international recognition and is accredited by the international accreditation agency ASIC as well as many processes of accreditation.
In the academic year 2016/2017, the university was the first private university to be accredited by Bahrain’s Higher Education Council.
All the programmes reviewed by the Education and Training Quality Authority (BQA) received positive results, including the ‘confidence’ rating for three programmes of the College of Business and Financial Sciences for two consecutive cycles, the last of which was in 2015 and four programmes in College of Art and Design.
Experts from Cambridge University have been consulted to review the bachelor’s degree in law for enhancement.
There are many relevant achievements that the university boasts that truly make it the best private university in the kingdom where women excel.
It is worth noting that the Royal University for Women is currently offering nine academic programmes for the bachelor’s degree – Banking and Finance, Human Resources, International Business, Marketing, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Architectural Design, Fashion Design and Law.
The university also offers master’s programmes in painting, colouring and design management.
