The Indian School beat Pakistan Urdu School by five wickets to set up the final clash with Pakistan School in the CBA–BOC Under-16 School Cricket Championship.
Pakistan Urdu School were restricted to 110 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs after batting first at the Bahrain National Stadium ground. Abdullah Iqbal top scored with 30 runs. Indian School’s Srivatsav Murali claimed a hat trick (3 for 22) while Aryan Pande took two wickets.
Indian School batsmen excelled in the chase with Aravind Rajeev remaining unbeaten with 29 runs. Captain Govind Bingly and and Anirudh S Nair chipped in with 27 and 21 respectively to extend their team’s unbeaten run.
Meanwhile, Pakistan School upset Rest of the School by six wickets in the other semi-final.
Rest of the School could only score 118 runs for seven wickets in 20 overs after batting first. Opener Gautham Chabar top scored with 36 runs and Limon Raton contributed 23. Abdullah Rasheed was the outstanding bowler for Pakistan School with two wickets for nine runs in four overs.
Pakistan School reached the winning target of 119 in the last over after losing four wickets. Zulfiqar Hussan top scored with 38 runs and Yaseer Mehmood made 28.
The final will be held on Saturday at the Bahrain National Stadium ground from 1 pm.
