SHAIKH Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty for Charity and Youth Affairs, president of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and president of Bahrain Olympic Committee and captain of Bahrain Royal Endurance Team, congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the King of Saudi Arabia and HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, on the success of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques International Endurance Championship held in Al Ula Governorate.
Shaikh Nasser said the success of such an event is a source of pride for all participants in the event, among whom was Shaikh Nasser, who finished 15th among 254 competitors from all over the world.
“I was keen to take part in the event and contribute to its success as this championship brought Saudi Arabia under the global limelight,” said Shaikh Nasser.
“The stages of the race were extraordinary as it crossed special landmarks of Saudi Arabia, especially in Al Ula Governorate. The perfect organisation of the event underlined the high capabilities of Saudi Arabian Equestrian Federation.”
Shaikh Nasser congratulated Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president and prime minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, on the occasion of UAE participants winning all the podium places in the race, stating that UAE’s victory represented a win for Bahrain too.
Shaikh Nasser met Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed on the sideline of the championship. He was also received by Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdualziz Al Saud, Governor of Medina.
Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, first deputy chairman of Supreme Council for Youth and Sports and president of Bahrain Athletic Association, followed the race and hailed its unique organisation.
