Kuwait City: Kuwait's Ministry of Commerce and Industry lifted the ban on imports of fresh and frozen meat from Italy following the end of anthrax disease outbreak, Al Qabas reported.
The ban which was imposed on all types of meat (fresh and frozen) and their derivatives, including eggs, from Mexico due to the outbreak of Bird flu (H5N1) has also been lifted.
Meanwhile, the authorities have banned imports of fresh, chilled, frozen and processed bird’s meat, derivatives and eggs from India due to the outbreak of virulent bird flu.
The ban does not apply to the same products which are heated at 70 degrees, said the Public Authority for Food and Nutrition.
