BAHRAIN Rugby Football Club (BRFC) ‘A’ posted a convincing 42-7 victory over Topshots last night as the second round of the 2018/2019 Bahrain Netball League got underway.
Centre Kelly Anne Hutton was the Player of the Match for BRFC ‘A’, while goal defence Vikki Hughes-Swick was the top performer for Topshots.
Also claiming a big win yesterday were sister-team BRFC ‘C’, who enjoyed a 30-6 triumph over British Club ‘B’.
The winners were spearheaded by centre Melissa Busek, while goal defence Laura Asquith was the best player for her team in the loss.
In another match, British Club ‘C’ defeated NEC Sri Lanka Club 26-9.
Substitute Jackie Morton-Sheperd and goal attack Sara Rahim were named the Players of the Match for their respective sides.
The fourth and final game between defending champions British Club ‘A’ and Secure Services Sri Lanka was postponed.
The second round continues on Tuesday next week at Dilmun Club in Saar. At 7.15pm, British Club ‘A’ take on Topshots while BRFC ‘B’ battle sister-squad BRFC ‘C’. That will be followed at 8.15pm by BRFC ‘A’ while British Club ‘B’ and British Club ‘C’ face off in the other fixture.
