BAHRAIN International Circuit (BIC), “The Home of Motorsport in the Middle East”, will be hosting the 14th edition of the annual GulfRun today and tomorrow in Sakhir.
A total of 60 cars from Kuwait will be taking part in the two-day event.
The on-track activities on both days begin at 9am and continue all the way until the evening.
Events will take place along four of BIC’s track configurations, including the Inner, Outer, Endurance and Grand Prix circuits. There will also be racing along the quarter-mile drag strip, which is a part of the US-based National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Worldwide Network.
Like in the past, this year’s GulfRun is set to showcase many top-of-the-line sports cars from major internationally renowned brands.
GulfRun is an annual motorsport event that started in 2005 as a weekend getaway for a group of friends passionate about automobile racing.
The goal is to promote automobile racing and training in a professional environment while educating drivers on proper racing techniques.
There are track-certified marshals monitoring the event at all times to ensure that the event is safe and secure.
GulfRun encompasses a friendly motorsport competition open to all track capable cars competing in multiple events. Cars will be placed in their respective class according to capability, power, weight and tyre type.
Participation is open to all drivers who are above the age of 18 and carry a valid driver’s licence with a track capable car.
GulfRun is one of several major motorsport events hosted by BIC throughout the year. BIC has become a favourite among racing enthusiasts from across the region and beyond.
