A flydubai plane had to make a U-turn and land at Dubai International Airport after hitting a bird in mid-air, according to Al Riyadh newspaper.
Flight FZ821 which took off from Dubai International Airport, was heading to King Abdulla Airport in the Saudi province of Jazan.
The government-owned low-cost airline said that the bird collided with one of the plane’s engines.
The plane landed safely at Dubai airport but passengers had to wait for more than four hours for another flight.
