Preparations are underway for the first Gulf Stables Endurance Race to be held from February 27 to March 4.
The event, to be held as part of the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Endurance Cup Festival, is sponsored by GFH International Financial Group. It is being organised under the directives of HM the King’s representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman, Bahrain Olympic Committee president and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) honorary president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The race comes within the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Endurance Cup Festival and is sponsored by GFH International Financial Group. BREEF also confirmed that HH Shaikh Nasser has approved the general programme of the cup and directed the concerned parties to take the necessary procedures and preparations to ensure the success of the event.
Shaikh Nasser said that the event is an opportunity for local stables and horsemen to showcase their skills and talents, reflecting the kingdom’s progress in the fields of equestrian sports and endurance races.
Shaikh Nasser also praised the efforts of Breef, spearheaded by its president Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, to ensure the success of the event. He also welcomed the participating local and Gulf stables and studs, who would contribute to the excitement and enthusiasm of the contests.
Meanwhile, Breef said that it will soon announce the prizes to be awarded at the event.
