THE 2019 Bahrain Sports Day on Tuesday was a grand success, according to the organisers of the event the Bahrain Olympic Committee and its secretary general and head of the organising committee Abdulrahman Askar.
Abdulla Ibrahim Al Dosari, chairman of the Youth and Sports Committee at the Parliament Council, expressed pleasure in taking part in the celebration of Bahrain Sports Day.
“I have personally had a wonderful all-in-all experience. I was engaged since early morning in the Parliament Council activities before heading to the main sports village at Isa Town Sports City,” said Al Dosari.
Al Dosari thanked His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister, for ordering a half-a-day off for government employees to engage in sports activities on this day.
He thanked Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Majesty’s Representative for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president, for his support and encouragement to youth and sports movement in the kingdom.
Bahraini artist Noor Al Shaikh said she was pleased to contribute to this year’s Bahrain Sports Day.
