Preparations are underway for the annual golf tournament by INJAZ Bahrain in partnership with AmCham Bahrain.
The details of the tournament were presented during a press conference hosted by INJAZ Bahrain executive chairwoman Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa and AmCham Bahrain president Qays Zu’bi.
The tournament, due to be held at the Royal Golf Club on March 22, will be a one-day event with a choice of morning or afternoon start times. It will be played under a Florida scramble format and will include many side contests and other enjoyable on-course offers. An awards dinner will also be held at the Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay.
The event will be supported by gold sponsors Cox Logistics, Big Texas Barbeque, Great Lakes Dredge and Docks and silver sponsor EK Kanoo. The airline partner is Gulf Air while the venue sponsors are Royal Golf Club and Four Seasons Hotel Bahrain Bay. The catering sponsor is CUT by Wolfgang Puck.
Funds collected from the sponsors and the teams taking part in the tournament will be donated to INJAZ Bahrain, which is an NGO that teaches K-12 students entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy, preparing the youth to succeed in the global economy.
Shaikha Hessa said, “This is an exclusive partnership and collaboration with AmCham towards youth development. INJAZ Bahrain brings together education, the business world and communities to ensure we equip young minds with the skills they need to be the workforce we want”.
Zu’bi said, “It is an honour for AmCham to join hands with INJAZ Bahrain in its various programmes that educate the future generation of Bahrain. We look forward to the golf championship.”
