Riffa are looking to continue their winning run when they meet Al Hidd in the King Cup final tomorrow.
Speaking at a press conference hosted by the Bahrain Football Association ahead of the title clash to be held at Bahrain National Stadium, Riffa coach Ali Ashoor said that the club’s goal before the start of the season was to be in the final and win the title.
Ashoor, who was Al Najma’s coach when they won the title last year, said, “It will be extra special to win the King Cup title for the second year in a row with a different team.”
“It will be amazing to help Riffa clinch the title after nine seasons,” he added.
Riffa captain Rashid Al Hooti stressed that his team have been playing each match as a final clash and they are eager to come up with another stellar performance.
Al Hidd assistant coach Moosa Mubarak said that his side is ready for the challenge posed by Riffa.
“The team that is ready physically and mentally will win the match,” said Mubarak. “Al Hidd reached the final seven times and the last time we won the title was in 2015, so we will look forward to repeating that achievement.”
