Turning to the team’s accomplishments, Shaikh Nasser revealed: “While we attend 250 races per year, in more than 20 countries across the five continents, we have successfully achieved many milestones.
'We started in 2017 and until now we have 11 victories and 23 second and third places (17 second places and six third places).
“Winning the Milano San Remo race, a key classic race, was among our biggest achievements.
“We were now aiming for another victory in Tour de France, but unfortunately our top rider Vincenzo Nibali had an accident but this will not hinder our efforts. In fact, this will make us and the team work harder for the next season.”
Bahrain Merida Cycling Team features 27 talented cyclists, headed by internationally-renowned Italian Nibali. The team is managed and trained by a highly-qualified technical team that also includes an integrated medical team.
“We in Bahrain Merida Cycling Team have a keen interest in the details. Our team has professionals in all fields; everyone playing a specific role as per their designations,” said team manager Brent Copeland. “We take this opportunity to thank Shaikh Nasser for his great support to the team.”
