Abu Dhabi: ‘Prince of Humanity’ is the title of an impressive artwork dedicated to the Amir of Kuwait Shaikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The Emirati people offered the sand artwork to Kuwait on its 58th National Day which will fall on Monday (Feb 25).
The impressive artwork features the portrait of the Kuwaiti ruler, who was honoured by the United Nations in 2014 as Humanitarian Leader, Albayan reported.
The portrait has been done on a sandy area covering more than 170,000 square feet was captured by UAE satellite ‘KhalifatSat’, launched into orbit last December in Japan.
The artwork has also been nominated for the Guinness Book of World Records.
Artists spent more than 2400 hours to carve out the likeness of the Kuwaiti leader in the region of Al-Qudra in Dubai.
UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Dubai Ruler Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum saluted the State of Kuwait on its National Day.
