Riyadh: A total of 1.34 million employees quit the private sector in Saudi Arabia in 2018, according to Akhbaar24.
The overall number of private sector employees fell from 9.93 million in 2017 to 8.6 million last year.
The number of Saudi private sector employees dropped by 278,000 to 1.7 million last year down from 1.98 million in 2017.
According to figures released by the General Organisation for Social Insurance (GOSI), the number of expatriates in the private sector fell by 1.06 million last year, to 6.9 million last year down from 7.95 million in 2017.
63,300 Saudi women quit the private sector in 2017, down from 606,000 to 542,000.
A total of 2,500 non-Saudi women entered the private sector in 2018, bringing their overall number to 214,200, up from 211,700 in 2017.
