THE Royal Golf Club will be in the regional spotlight from Sunday to next Thursday as the Mena Tour comes to Bahrain for the first time.
Over 112 top professional and amateur golfers from the region will battle-it out for $75,000 of prize-money and the title of Champion in the Mena Tour, Troon Series Royal Golf Club Open.
Talent
Notable regional talent includes Ahmed Almusharrekh (UAE), Othman Almullah (KSA), Saud Al Sharif (KSA), Shergo Al Kurdi (Jordan).
European tour players include Daniel Gaunt (Australia), Matthew Baldwin (England), MG Keyser (South Africa) along with a host of other international professionals.
It’s also a great opportunity for Bahrain’s top golfers to showcase their skills alongside the region’s finest players.
Bahrain will be represented by Mohamed Diab Alnoaimi, Mohamed Al Khalifa, Ali Mohamed Sultan and Ali Mohamed Alkhowari.

Sunday: Practice day. Monday: 1st round. Tuesday: 2nd round. Wednesday: 3rd round. Thursday: Pro-Am Event (for entries into the Pro-Am and for a chance to play with one of the region’s top golf professionals).
