Kuwait City: The authorities in Kuwait have deported 2,200 Arab and Asian expatriates from the country over the past two months.
The deportees were found in breach of the law, for violating residency or labour legislation or involvement in criminal cases including traffic violations, felonies and crimes, Kuwait Times reported.
Sponsors cooperated with the authorities and bought tickets for their workers, which helped speed up the deportation process from three days to a maximum of one week before the detainees are deported.
