Lavender triumphed in the one-year-old foal class after earning 90.50 points at the third Nasser bin Hamad International Horse Beauty Championship which is taking place under the patronage of His Majesty the King’s representative for Charity Work and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (Breef) honorary president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa at Bahrain International Endurance Village.
Lavender was followed by Manama Badawia and Al Bariya Jawhara in second and third places.
IJ Randa topped the three-year-old foal category while the second place went to Shereen and Rosi took the third spot.
Meanwhile, Al Anood won the 4-6-year-old mare class and Al Rashdiya Dream was the victor in the 7-9-year-old mare class. In the 10-year+ mare category, FS Cayne overcame stiff competition to clinch victory. The championship will conclude today.
Shaikh Nasser hailed the performances of the stud owners in the prestigious annual event, stating that they reflect the huge strides made in the sport.
He said that the participation of studs and horse owners from Kuwait and Saudi Arabia will help in the development of the sport, adding that their participation has added to the charm of the the championship. He also congratulated the winners of the first two days, predicting an exciting final day.
