Riyadh: Egyptian customs authorities arrested a passenger at Cairo International Airport as he was attempting to smuggle a large quantity of drugs to Saudi Arabia, according to Watan newspaper.
They screened his luggage and discovered plastic-wrapped frozen chicken stuffed with 1,950 Tramadol pills and 8,400 amphetamine pills.
The passenger, who was on a flight heading to King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, was arrested.
In 2018, Saudi customs foiled attempts to smuggle 83 million amphetamine pills, 28 tonnes of cannabis, 8kg of pure heroin and 47kg of shabu.
