Kuwait City: The issuance of visit visas will from now on depend on the expat applicant’s financial status.
Governorates’ Residency department directors have been authorised to assess expats’ applications and grant them one- to three-month visit visas on the condition that sponsors have high income and are fully capable of hosting the visitors, namely parents.
Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Residency Affairs Major General Talal Maarafi has issued directives to implement the new procedures.
According to informed sources, tourist visas will be valid for three months and given to Europeans.
