Riyadh: A major Saudi bookstore has withdrawn books of controversial American business magnate, investor and candidate for President of the United States in the 2016 presidential election Donald Trump.
Jarir bookstore announced the move on its Twitter page in response to an online media campaign calling for a boycott of Trump’s books in Saudi Arabia.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump sparked worldwide outrage when he called for a halt to Muslims entering the US, in the wake of the deadly San Bernardino shootings in California which left 14 deaths and many wounded people.
According to a report in Arabic language daily Sabq, social media expressed their outrage at the presence of Trump’s books in Saudi bookstores despite his Islamophobic and racists stances.
