ALBA Red beat Colts Cricket Academy by 157 runs to storm into the semi-finals of the CBA-Alba Under-12 cricket tournament at Alba ground.
Alba Red scored a record total of 205 for six wickets in 20 overs after batting first. Sarvesh Nirmal (40) and Sai Sarthak (28) got the team off to a fine start with an 81-run opening partnership. Later, captain Romir Adhiya hit a quick-fire 34 not out in 17 balls to take his team to a record total.
Bhavya Gupta was the most successful bowler for Colts with two wickets for 23 runs.
In reply, Colts were bowled out for just 48 runs. Arnav Nair, Tirthankar and Abdullah grabbed two wickets each for Alba Red.
In another match, Cric Bahrain Academy defeated Alba Blue by four wickets to bag a last four berth.
The semi-finals will be played on Friday and the final will take place the following day.
