Aiming to “rewrite the rules” of mobile photography, Chinese giant Huawei yesterday launched its new P30 series in the Middle East.
In a colourful function held at the Burj Park in Dubai, Huawei Middle East president Gene Jiao presented the series including HUAWEI P30, P30 Pro, Huawei Lite and Watch GT to an invited crowd from across the globe.
Adding to the glitz and glamour of the launch was the countdown to the product series launch being simultaneously projected on a screen at the event as well as on the world’s tallest tower, Burj Khalifa.
The P30 series was globally launched last week in Paris at Huawei’s flagship event by the company’s chief executive, Richard Yu.
The P30 and P30 Pro features a completely redesigned camera, which according to its makers delivers “an unrivalled smartphone photography” experience.
The P30 Pro claims of detailed capture with “even the tiniest strand of hair” in focus.
“The P30 Pro takes depth perception to more accurately assess depth and distance and smart correction,” said Mr Jiao at the launch.
“The blur from depth of field images is so detailed that even the tiniest strand of hair will be in focus.”
The technical details of the series were unveiled by Huawei Middle East chief marketing officer Jason Chen.
“You will never have to elbow your way at festivals and live events again to get the perfect shot or video – think of it as having the convenience of a mini telescope in the palm of your hand,” said Mr Chen.
“With the Dual-View Video you can capture two perspectives of the same scene at the same time by using different cameras simultaneously.
“Being able to record two views of the same scene lets you show an extra perspective never seen before.”
The P30 Lite, meanwhile, is equipped with a 32MP 3D Selfie Superstar lens that works with AI beautification effects.
The outdoor smart watches feature ultra-long battery life, while freeLace wireless earphones and Huawei X Gentle Monster Eyewear, the new smart glasses, were also launched.
With much more to offer technically, the series comes in four trendy shades inspired by the wonders of nature.
Amber Sunrise, Breathing Crystal, Black and Aurora – each reflect the different times of day.
