A MEDITERRANEAN gastronomic experience awaits diners as two Michelin star chef Bruno Oger takes over Bahrain’s first-ever fine dining dégustation restaurant, Mahonia.
The all-new concept featuring eight courses will take place on April 15 and 16 and shows Mahonia’s commitment to introducing truly unique and one-off experiences for guests.
Chef Oger, who is one of the world’s most celebrated French chefs, is set to fly from the French Riviera with a star-studded team for a two-nights-only kitchen takeover.
The executive chef is best known on the high-end culinary scene as the genius behind the official dinners of the Cannes Film Festival, and as the proprietor of Bastide Bruno Oger comprising the famed gourmet restaurant La Villa Archange, the brasserie Le Bistrot des Anges.
He was awarded the Chevalier des Arts et Lettres medal by the French Government in 2003 and won Best French Chef of The Year in 2010.
Pastry chef Sylvain Mathy, the renowned 2002 dessert champion of France, will put his unique spin on the sweet offerings.
Other members of the team include chef Oger’s right-hand-man Jacques di Guisto, food and beverage director Eric Descazaux and other members of his team from the French Riviera.
