Riyadh: The Lebanese security authorities succeeded in thwarting an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs to Saudi Arabia.
Anti-narcotics officers searched a loaded truck to Saudi Arabia and discovered 814,000 amphetamine pills valued at $12 million.
The operation was co-ordinated between the security authorities in Saudi and Lebanon to foil the smuggling attempt and bust the drugs network.
A Syrian national, aged 32, has been arrested as part of the joint operation to discover members of the drug-trafficking network, according to Akhbaar24.
