SAN DIMAS and Trick of the Light were the biggest winners at yesterday’s horse racing at Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club in Sakhir.
Favourite San Dimas, owned and trained by Yousif Alboainain and ridden by Abdulla Faisal, beat Gateway to win the Porsche Cup for imported horses carrying a cash prize of BD3,000.
Sakada was third and Happy Call fourth.
Jockey Richard Mullen steered Trick of the Light, owned by Aradous Racing and trained by Abdulla Kuwaiti, past Spring Offensive by one-and-three-fourth-length to claim the Bahrain Jewellery Centre Cup, a handicap race, carrying a cash prize of BD3,000.
Kahrab was third and Android fourth.
Pont Vert, owned by Jassim Mohmmed Asad, trained by Ramzi Al Baqlawa and to be ridden by Andrew Elliott, beat Five Angels by half-a-length to win the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club Cup carrying a cash prize of BD2,000.
Prince Elzaam was third and Summer Blossom fourth.
Good News, owned by M and E Racing, trained by Alan Smith and to be ridden by Ahmed Akbar, beat Masharif, by two-and-half-a-length to win the Bahrain Jewellery Centre Cup, a handicap race, carrying a cash prize of BD3,000.
Lazzam was third and Retort fourth.
Al Saqlawieh 1733, owned by Al Riffa, trained by Yousif Aloainain and ridden by Abdulla Faisal, beat Krushan 1710 by three lengths to win the Chevron Cup for Arabian horses carrying a cash prize of BD2,000.
Krayaan 1706 was third and Kuheilan Al Adiyat 1718 fourth.
Riyada, owned by Shaikh Isa bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, trained by James Naylor and ridden by Andrew Elliott, beat Yaoud by two-and-half-a-length to win the Porsche Cup for locally bred horses carrying a can prize of BD3,000.
Mohaayedah was third and Antar fourth.
Al Tariq, owned by Abdulla Fawzi Nass, trained by Hesham Al Haddad and ridden by Husain Makki, beat Raed by five lengths to win the race for locally bred horses carrying a cash prize of BD2,000.
Waed was third and Pulsar fourth.
Nibras Bounty, owned by Abbas Ahmed Yousif Abdulla, trained by Jaffar Marzooq and ridden by Richard Mullen, beat Prince Bonnaire by three-fourth-length to win the handicap race carrying a cash prize of BD2,000.
Sir Viktor was third and Northern Thunder fourth.
