MUSICAL and dance performances are some of the highlights of International Labour Day celebrations organised by Bharathi Association and the Indian Club.
More than 2,000 workers are expected to attend the event which will take place on May 1 at the club’s premises in Manama.
It will be held under the patronage of Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan, while Indian Ambassador Alok Kumar Sinha will be guest of honour.
Preparations are in full swing to entertain the workers with a light concert supported by a live orchestra.
Transportation is also being arranged from labour camps and the show will kick off at 6pm; entry is free.
Bharathi Association celebrates Labour Day every year to pay tribute and acknowledge the invaluable contributions made by workers towards the betterment of the country and consequently the society.
