New national circuit racing champions will be crowned tomorrow after the seventh and final round of the National Race Day at Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.
The championships comprise the BIC 2,000cc Challenge, the Bahrain Motorcycle Racing (BMR) 600, the Bahrain Superbike Championship (BSBK) and the Bahrain Super Sport Championship (BSSP) 125.
Racing is scheduled to get underway at 12.30pm and continue all the way into the night until around 9pm under BIC’s state-of-the-art floodlights. The action is to take place along BIC’s 2.55-kilometre Inner Track.
All are welcome to attend the event and watch many of Bahrain’s most talented racers go head to head one last time this season. Tickets are available at the gate at BD2.100 apiece for adults and half the price for children.
Race-goers can enjoy the action from BIC’s Batelco Grandstand and even see the competitors’ cars and bikes up close in their garages.
Tomorrow’s programme of racing flags off with the BSSP 125 Practice. The series’ Qualifying is then scheduled for 2.50pm, setting the grid for Race One at 4.47pm. Race Two will be held at 7.05pm. Both sprints are over eight laps.
The BMR 600 will start their final meeting off at 1.05pm with Practice, followed by Qualifying at 3.15pm. Race One is at 5.20pm and Race Two at 7.38pm, both over 11 laps.
The BSBK riders will first get out on track for Practice at 1.40pm, and then again for Qualifying at 3.40pm. The first 11-lap race is then set for 5.53pm and the second for 8.11pm.
For the BIC 2,000cc Challenge, Practice kicks things off at 2.15pm and then Qualifying is set for 4.05pm. That paves the way for both 12-lap races under floodlights, with Race One at 6.27pm and Race Two at 8.45pm.
At the end of all the racing, the round’s podium ceremony, where all the various winners will be presented their trophies, will be held, starting at approximately 9.20pm.
National Race Day has been organised by BIC in cooperation with the Bahrain Motor Federation, Circuit Racing Club and Bahrain Motorcycle Club.
