Bahrain Royal Endurance Team manager Dr Khalid Ahmed Hassan, Bahrain Royal Equestrian and Endurance Federation (BREEF) secretary Ghalib Al Alawi and Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Media Office and Information Centre director Tawfiq Al Salehi crowned the winners in the Manama Rose Show Stakes Showjumping competition which took place as part of Royal Windsor Equestrian Festival.
The event featured top elite competitors from both genders and from all over the world.
Irish Sean Brian won the event in 61.75, followed by Guy Williams and fellow British Scott Brash in second and third places, respectively.
Bahrain’s Khalid Hilal Al Khateri finished the event in 72.82 seconds with four faults.
Dr Khalid said the event was a great opportunity to highlight the Kingdom of Bahrain’s progress in this big event under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Hamad.
He hailed Shaikh Nasser, representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs and president of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, for his support in the festival, as well as the great performances displayed by the Bahrainis during the event.
Al Salehi said the festival was a unique chance to continue promoting Bahrain at the international level, praising the strong field participants who took part in the endurance race which was established by the Kingdom and marked its seventh anniversary this year.
