Riyadh: A training aircraft which crashed in the sea in the Philippines last Friday has been found, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) announced.
The two people who were on board, Captain Jose Nelson Yapparcon and Saudi student pilot Abdullah Alsharif -- are still missing.
The wreckage of the Beechcraft Baron 55 training aircraft which went missing after its take-off was located some 43.52km south of the Mindoro Strait.
"For the past three days, there were negative sightings of the aircraft. Today, several debris of that aircraft were found by a seaplane," CAAP spokesperson Eric Apolonio told the Philippine News Agency (PNA).
The training aircraft, operated by Orient Aviation Corporation, took off from the San Jose Airport and went missing. Apolonio said search and retrieval operation is ongoing, since the persons on board have yet to be found, according to Sabq.
