Riyadh: A video of a bank security guard assaulting a man brutally following a heated argument went viral on social media sites.
The guard, who works at Al-Ahli bank branch in Dammam, pushed the old man with such a force he fell metres away on the ground and suffered bruises, reported Arabic daily Sabq.
The guard reportedly stopped the man from entering the bank to finalise his transaction as it was time for prayers. Sources said this was the second incident of such a kind where the security guard assaulted a resident and barred him from entering the bank.
Eastern region Governor Prince Saud bin Nayef Al-Saud ordered to immediately refer the security guard to Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution for legal action.
Al-Ahli Bank management issued a statement saying it has terminated the contract of the security guard and referred the case to security authorities, describing the aggression as being an irresponsible individual act.
