Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) and Bahrain Defence Force Hospital have signed an agreement regarding surgeries and medical consultations for Bahrain’s national athletes.
Bahrain National Sports Medicine Centre director Dr Khalid Al Shaikh said the centre would transfer cases requiring surgical intervention to the hospital to treat cruciate ligament injuries, shoulder injuries, cartilage, ankle injuries, other stadium injuries as well as advanced diagnostic tests and consultations.
BOC secretary general Mohammed Al Nusuf commended the cooperation of BDF Hospital and thanked Royal Medical Service head Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa and Physiology chief as well as Orthopaedics head Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa Al Khalifa for their support.
Col. Dr Shaikh Fahad affirmed the hospital’s keenness to provide its facilities to members of Bahrain’s sports teams.
