Bahrain will host the third edition of the International Combat Week (ICW) in November with Brave Combat Federation’s event headlining the mixed martial arts showpiece.
Details of the ICW, which will be held from November 9 to 16, were announced at a press conference in Bahrain which was attended by dignitaries from all over the world.
The ICW is the vision of Bahrain Olympics Committee president, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman and Brave founder Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Federation president Col. Khalid A. Aziz Al Khayyat and Brave president Mohammed Shahid welcomed IMMAF and WMMAA chiefs Kerrith Brown and Densign White to announce the details of ICW’s third edition, which is set to be the biggest so far. The ICW is expected to feature 550 athletes from more than 60 nations.
Brave will also come up with its most exciting card of the year during the same week. Speaking on the occasion, Shahid said, “Brave is a product of Bahrain. It should be celebrated by the people as such. What we’ve seen today is the result of Shaikh Khalid’s vision. Brave has done so much in the past three years to become the fastest-rising mixed martial arts promotion in the world. We are the largest media property in the Middle East, and have elevated Bahrain’s name in the world,”
